For me, muse music isn’t always about getting inside the head of a character, channeling the mood of a scene, or scoring the soundtrack to my story.
Muse music is also about putting me in a certain frame of mind which affords me the safety, courage, and ability to explore sides of myself I’m not always at liberty to commune with. The right melody at the right time helps to release, to soothe, to imagine, and at times, to paint clearer pictures with words.
To let end, I present Corrine Bailey Rae. Just lose yourself in it.
