“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today’s Muse Music entry is inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2014. I’m blessed with the ability and opportunity to provide for my family, live my life on my terms, and enjoy all rights granted to me as a human being and as an American thanks, in part, to the efforts of those brave individuals that fought for equality and civil rights for all.
While tremendous accomplishments have been made, there are still miles & miles of this road that need to be paved as racism, segregation, and discrimination still exists. But let us continue to be courageous and work for equality and equal rights in all things. Let us continue to step in and help others in need. Let us continue to come together and be a positive influence on the world.
We don’t have to wait for destiny
We should be the change that we want to see
If You’re Out There
