Muse Music: Lover You Should’ve Come Over

I’m currently working on  two manuscripts right now.  The dark & twisty Urban Fantasy  and my contemporary short story.  I’ve been doing a fair amount of flipping back and forth between the two lately, and I came to the realization that this song fits them both.  In slightly different ways, but yeah…. I’m feeling it.

I find this a  hauntingly, beautiful song.  Here are two sections from the lyrics I’m using for the muse right now:

Snippet #1- The short story:

[readolog_blockquote ]Broken down and hungry for your love with no way to feed it
Where are you tonight, child you know how much I need it
Too young to hold on and too old to just break free and run [/readolog_blockquote]

Snippet #2- The Urban Fantasy:

[readolog_blockquote ]It’s never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It’s never over, all my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her
It’s never over, all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter
It’s never over, she’s the tear that hangs inside my soul forever [/readolog_blockquote]
